It’s raining strawberries in the market at this time. Even the local vegetable market is overflowing with them. I am even dreaming strawberries now. Whenever I see these beautiful red berries I want to throw them in a bowl of cream or condensed milk and enjoy a lazy day with it. But then I am staying off sugar. So why not a Strawberry Yogurt Breakfast Bowl Recipe to have a healthy day?

If you have come across my lifestyle Instagram lately you will know, I am focusing on fitness and a healthy lifestyle this year. I am trying to eat clean and reduce sugar intake as much as possible. Imagine me doing that! So far, it’s a week without desserts! I absolutely hate oats porridge – I find it repulsive! But eating whole grains is good. That’s when I thought of making my breakfast bowl interesting with some ingredients that I like. Instead of a regular smoothie, why not make a thicker and healthier breakfast bowl which literally takes 2 minutes to make! Who has time in the morning, anyway! You can make amazing smoothies with strawberry and oatmeal though.

What goes in this Strawberry Yogurt Breakfast Bowl Recipe?

Strawberries of course! Loads of strawberries. I used natural Greek Yogurt instead of regular yogurt – you can always make it with regular yogurt. But I like the thicker, creamier, smoother Greek Yogurt and its pretty easily available these days. Greek Yogurt in itself is a filling low-calorie snack option which you can enjoy anytime.

Instead of rolled oats, I have used a handful of muesli – which is a mix toasted whole oats, nuts, raisins and wheat flakes – for the extra crunch and some sliced almonds for an extra dose of health.

You can make various modifications to this Strawberry Yogurt Breakfast Bowl Recipe, you can add bananas, walnuts, chia seeds anything that you like. Food is to be enjoyed – the way you like.

If you want to tun this in a smoothie add a cup of milk and blend it in a blender. You can use maple syrup or honey for sweetening instead of sugar. If you want to make a dessert instead, with yogurt and strawberry then try the Strawberry Yogurt Parfait.
