This Easy Apple Hand Pie Recipe is the quickest way to enjoy little apple goodness

Serves: 2 hand pies
  • Red Apple / Cooking Apple - 1, peeled and chopped
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Cinnamon powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Dry Fruits - 2 tablespoons (optional)
Pastry Dough
  • AFP Flour - 1 cup sifted
  • Butter - ⅓rd cup chilled and chopped in small bite size pieces
  • Chilled Water - 2-3 tablespoons for combining dough
  1. Pre-heat oven at 220C/425 F
  2. Line baking sheet with a baking sheet / parchment paper
Pastry Dough
  1. Add butter to flour and crumble them with your fingers
  2. Once crumbled add flour to your work surface and bring the crumble togetherA
  3. Add chilled water to incorporate everything together
  4. Do not knead
  5. Once combined wrap in a cling film and fut in freezer for 15 minutes
  6. Take out after 15 minutes and roll out on a floured surface
  7. Use a bowl to make round discs
  1. Place one disc on the lined baking tray
  2. Add spoonful filling in the center
  3. Cover with the second disc and press the edges with a fork to seal the edges
  4. Make slits/holes on top of the hand pies to let steam out
  5. Give a good egg wash
  6. If you want a vegan option - brush with milk
  1. Bake for 20 minutes at 220C/425F
  2. Cool for 15 minutes
  3. Serve as it is or with a scoop of ice cream
